Mark W. Putnam 
For 30 years Mark Putnam owned and operated a multi-location funeral business in Southern Michigan. After attempting to sell the business on his own, Mark engaged the assistance of a business broker and sold the 50-year-old family business in 1998.
He continued to work with the broker in the funeral industry from the time of the sale until 2000. Mark then spent four years as President/Executive Director of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), the largest association of business brokers in the country. During this time he gained valuable insight into buying and selling business as well as establishing valuable national contacts.
In 2004 he joined David Ring to form the Putnam Ring Group, an organization dedicated to helping funeral directors sell or purchase businesses. In addition, as the Midwest Director of Siegel Capital, a business loan expediting company, Putnam assists Putnam Ring clients with their financing needs.
Mark attended Olivet College, Michigan and the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Michigan and is a member of the International Business Broker's Association. His unique experience and skills ensure a successful future for buyers, sellers and business owners.
David L. Ring 
David began his funeral service experience as the general manager of a multi-location family funeral business in Indianapolis. After the sale of that business, David held management positions in operations and corporate development with two national funeral service companies.
He joined Carpenter Hawke & Co., Boston, as a Managing Director and opened the Indianapolis office in 1999. In addition to his concentration in funeral industry transactions, he has also participated in the sale of businesses in the specialty metal fabrication and trucking and logistics industries.
In 2004, he joined Mark Putnam to form Putnam Ring Group, an organization dedicated to helping funeral directors sell or purchase businesses. In addition, Ring currently owns the Harry Moore Family Mortuaries and Indiana Funeral Care in Indianapolis, which he purchased from The Loewen Group in 2001.
A graduate of the Boston University School of Management, he is also a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker and Life Insurance Agent. He is a member of the International Business Broker's Association and the Indiana Funeral Director's association.
